Guest Portal FAQs
How to manually send the portal link to a guest
Section titled “How to manually send the portal link to a guest”You can manually send a portal link to a guest at any time. Open the reservation in SuiteOp, scroll down to the SuitePortal section, and click Copy link. Paste this link in your message to the guest.
Alternatively, you can construct the link manually:
- Without a custom domain:
dash.suiteop.com/portal/verify - With a custom domain:
yoursubdomain.yourdomain.com
When guests open the link, they’ll be prompted to enter their confirmation code and last name to access the portal. If you include the confirmation code and last name as query parameters, the verification will happen automatically — for example: dash.suiteop.com/portal/verify?code=CONF123&lastName=Johnson.
Can a guest access multiple reservations?
Section titled “Can a guest access multiple reservations?”Yes! When a guest verifies with their confirmation code and last name, they land on the Reservations Hub — a page that lists all their reservations organized into Upcoming, Active, and Past tabs. Guests can switch between reservations without needing to verify again for each one.
This is helpful for returning guests, guests with overlapping stays at different properties, or anyone managing multiple bookings.
Will we get flagged on Airbnb if we send the guest portal link?
Section titled “Will we get flagged on Airbnb if we send the guest portal link?”No! Airbnb will not flag the link for the guest portal. We have many guests receiving portal links on Airbnb every day without trouble.
Why are incorrect upsells showing in the guest portal?
Section titled “Why are incorrect upsells showing in the guest portal?”Upsells are displayed in guest portals based on assignment rules. To remove upsells from the guest portal you’ll need to remove the incorrect assignment. These can be in a few places - property assignment, portal template assignment, and conditional assignment based on Additional Questions asked during verification.
-
You can see on the Property > Settings > Assignment tab which verification rules and upsells are on the property.
-
If you see an incorrect upsell here, go to the Upsells page in Portal settings and open the upsell. In the last section of the Upsell settings, check that the property is not selected and portal template the property is using is not selected.
-
Next, check Additional Questions. If there was an Additional Question verification step on the property, open this in the Portal settings > Verify tab. Check that none of the responses are “Featuring an upsell”. This means the upsell will be displayed if they choose that answer. If so, remove the upsell here.
