Conversations & Export
Every time you chat with Honey, your messages are saved as a conversation session. You can switch between past conversations, start new ones, and export the full transcript for your records.
Conversation History
Section titled “Conversation History”Viewing Past Conversations
Section titled “Viewing Past Conversations”In the sidebar chat: Click the clock icon in the chat header to open the history dropdown. Your past conversations are listed with their auto-generated title and the date they were last active. Click any conversation to load it.
On the full-page Ask page: Press H to open the conversation history panel on the left side of the screen. Press H again or Esc to close it.
Starting a New Conversation
Section titled “Starting a New Conversation”- Sidebar: Click the New chat button (plus icon) in the chat header
- Full-page Ask: Press N to start a fresh conversation
- Slash command: Type
/newin either view
Your previous conversation is saved automatically — you can return to it through the history panel at any time.
Session Sync
Section titled “Session Sync”Conversations are shared between the sidebar chat and the full-page Ask view. If you start a conversation in the sidebar and then navigate to the Ask page, the same conversation continues. Similarly, switching sessions in one view updates the other.
Exporting Conversations
Section titled “Exporting Conversations”You can export any conversation for your records or to share with your team. Click the export icon (share button) in the chat toolbar to see three options:

| Copy as Markdown | Copies the full conversation transcript to your clipboard in Markdown format |
| Download .md | Downloads the transcript as a .markdown file to your computer |
| Print / Save as PDF | Opens your browser’s print dialog — choose “Save as PDF” to create a PDF file |
The exported transcript includes all messages from both you and Honey, labeled as “You” and “Honey” respectively.
Token Usage
Section titled “Token Usage”At the bottom of the chat interface, you can see the token usage for your current conversation. Hover over the info icon to see a detailed breakdown:
- Input tokens — the data sent to the AI model
- Cache tokens — tokens served from cache (lower cost)
- Output tokens — the AI’s response tokens
- Total cost — estimated cost for the conversation
This information helps you understand your AI usage and is visible to all users with chat access.
