Offline Mode & Sync

The SuiteOp mobile app is built offline-first. Your data — properties, tasks, reservations, devices, notifications, and more — is stored locally on your device so you can access it anytime, even without an internet connection.

When you sign in, the app downloads your organization’s data and stores it in a local SQLite database on your device using PowerSync. After the initial sync:

  • Real-time updates — changes made on the web dashboard or by other team members appear on your phone within seconds
  • Bidirectional sync — actions you take on mobile (creating tasks, adding comments, updating statuses) are synced back to the server when you have connectivity
  • Automatic reconnection — if you lose internet, the app automatically reconnects and re-syncs when connectivity is restored
  • Organization-scoped — you only see data belonging to your current organization

The home screen header shows your sync state at all times:

IndicatorMeaning
Green dot + “Syncing”Connected and receiving live updates
Red dot + “Connecting…”Internet is available but the sync connection is being established
Red dot + “Offline”No internet connection — data is available from the last successful sync

You can also see the last sync time on the Profile tab under the App section.

Once your data has synced at least once, you can:

  • Browse the home dashboard with today’s tasks and activity
  • View and filter your full task list
  • Open task details, comments, costs, requirements, and history
  • Browse all properties with guest info, WiFi details, and access codes
  • View reservation details, guest information, and lock codes
  • See device status and battery levels
  • Read notifications
  • Search across tasks, properties, reservations, and devices

Some actions are queued while offline and executed when you reconnect:

  • Creating new tasks
  • Updating task status or adding comments
  • Changing device settings (lock/unlock, thermostat adjustments)
  • Approving or rejecting guest verification
  • Marking notifications as read

An offline banner appears at the top of screens when you have no internet connection, so you always know your current state.

Your local data stays fresh as long as the app is open and connected. If you’ve been offline for a while, the app automatically catches up with any missed changes the next time you’re back online — no action required on your part.
