Voice Input
Honey supports voice input so you can speak your requests instead of typing. Your speech is recorded through your browser’s microphone and automatically transcribed to text, which is then sent as a message.
How to Use Voice Input
Section titled “How to Use Voice Input”There are two ways to start a voice recording:
Hold Spacebar (Full-Page Ask Only)
Section titled “Hold Spacebar (Full-Page Ask Only)”On the full-page Ask view, press and hold the spacebar to start recording. Release it to stop recording and send the transcription. This is the fastest way to use voice input if your hands are already on the keyboard.
Microphone Button
Section titled “Microphone Button”In both the sidebar chat and full-page Ask view, click the microphone icon next to the message input to start recording. Click it again to stop. The transcribed text will be placed in the input field for you to review before sending.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Browser microphone access — your browser will ask for permission the first time you use voice input. You must allow microphone access for this feature to work.
- Minimum recording length — recordings shorter than 0.5 seconds are discarded to avoid accidental activations.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| ”Microphone access denied” | Open your browser settings and allow microphone access for the SuiteOp dashboard |
| Recording does not start | Check that no other application is using your microphone |
| No transcription appears | The recording may have been too short — hold the spacebar or mic button for at least one second |
| Transcription is inaccurate | Speak clearly and reduce background noise. Voice input works best in a quiet environment |
